Boardinn

PetExec alternative for pet hotels: Boardinn vs PetExec

Claims about PetExec last verified on their own site on .

PetExec is a long-running daycare and boarding system that still serves its customers, but new enquiries now go to Gingr, its sister product. If you like that family, look at Gingr. Boardinn suits pet hotels that want the booking site on their own domain, under their own name.

  1. Booking site and branding

    Boardinn ahead
    Boardinn

Runs on your own domain under your own name, in one of five designs with your colours. A small "Powered by Boardinn" footer link is on by default; you can switch it off.

    PetExec

The PetExec login is on PetExec's own domain (secure.petexec.net). The pages that described portal branding no longer load.

  2. Breadth of modules

    PetExec ahead
    Boardinn

Boarding-first: boarding, grooming, training, vet visits, pet taxi, relocation and sitting, each with its own price and capacity, plus optional rentals.

    PetExec

Daycare, boarding, grooming, training and scheduled services, plus payment processing and unlimited texting. The features, pricing and app pages now return errors; the pages for each type of business still load.

  3. Track record

    PetExec ahead
    Boardinn

Newly launched. Milo Pet Hotel in Tbilisi has run on it since July 2026, and new hotels are set up one at a time.

    PetExec

A long-established product; now a Togetherwork brand alongside Gingr and Revelation Pets.

  4. Mobile apps

    Even
    Boardinn

Web only. Staff and owners use the site, which works on any phone.

    PetExec

Described as "mobile-ready". The homepage links a PetExec Mobile app page, which returns an error.

  5. Languages

    Boardinn ahead
    Boardinn

Guest site and staff screens in English and Georgian, with homepage text per language; Russian is partly translated so far. Emails go out in each owner's language. Prices in your currency.

No language options mentioned on the pages that load.

  6. Data isolation and GDPR

    Boardinn ahead
    Boardinn

Each hotel is an isolated installation with its own database, hosted in the EU (Helsinki, backups in Paris). We run a customer's data export or erasure when the hotel asks.

    PetExec

No GDPR statement; the privacy policy and terms links now lead to Gingr's site.

  7. Public pricing

    Boardinn ahead
    Boardinn

$99/month, or $85/month billed annually, for one hotel location: everything included, 21-day free trial, no card, no per-pet or per-staff fees. A founding rate of $79/month (billed monthly), locked for 24 months, is open to the first five hotels.

    PetExec

Not published. The purchase page returns an error, and the free-trial and contact buttons open an enquiry form on Gingr's site.

  8. Online payments

    PetExec ahead
    Boardinn

None yet. Invoices carry your bank details and staff mark them paid; online payments and deposits are on the roadmap.

    PetExec

Payment processing is listed among its services on the homepage.

Who each product is for

PetExec has served US pet-care businesses for many years: daycare, boarding, grooming, training and scheduled services, with payment processing and texting alongside. If you already run on it and it works for you, nothing on this page is a reason to leave in a hurry.

Boardinn is narrower, on purpose. It’s built around the boarding stay: owners book online against your real kennel count, staff run the day from one board of arrivals, pets in care and departures, services get ticked off as they’re done, and the invoice adds itself up from what was delivered. If you run a pet hotel rather than a daycare with boarding on the side, fewer modules, each aimed at the front desk, is the trade you’re making.

What’s going on at PetExec

A fair comparison has to say this plainly. PetExec is now part of Togetherwork, listed next to Gingr and Revelation Pets, and its website has been shrinking into Gingr’s. On 12 October 2026 the “Start your free trial” and contact buttons both opened an enquiry form on gingrapp.com, the privacy policy and terms linked to Gingr’s site, and the purchase page, the mobile app page and the features page all returned errors. In September some of those pages still loaded.

None of that means the product has stopped working. It visibly still serves its existing customers, and the login is where it has always been. But if you’re choosing software today, ask them directly what the plan is for new customers. In practice the answer may simply be Gingr, which we compare separately.

What “your own domain” means here

PetExec’s login is at secure.petexec.net, on PetExec’s own domain. With Boardinn each hotel gets its own site on its own domain, with HTTPS set up and renewed automatically, in one of five designs using the hotel’s colours and fonts. Guests book at your address, in English or Georgian (Russian is partly translated so far), reminder emails come from your name, and any links or reviews the site earns build up on your domain, not ours. Connecting your domain takes one DNS record.

Where Boardinn is behind

Boardinn is new. There’s no mobile app, no retail module, no daycare packages and no built-in card payments. What you get in exchange is a system built around your hotel rather than an account on someone else’s platform, with photos and videos from the stay for owners, a day-before pick-up reminder, and a small team that sets it up with you, services and prices included. Milo Pet Hotel’s story shows how that went for one hotel.

How we checked

Every claim about PetExec on this page was checked on 12 October 2026 against petexec.net (the homepage and the purchase, features and mobile-app pages it links to) and Togetherwork’s brand list. Where their site doesn’t say something, such as its GDPR position, language options or current pricing, we say so rather than guess. We re-check the page whenever we update the date. If we’ve got something wrong, email hello@boardinn.pet and we’ll fix it.
