Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy covers two things separately: this website (boardinn.pet), and the Boardinn product that hotels run. The data controller for boardinn.pet is Individual Entrepreneur Evgenii Iakovenko, registration number 316373508, of m/d VIII, N5a, basement, Rustavi, Georgia, reachable athello@boardinn.pet.
This website
The information you give us directly through boardinn.pet comes from the request-access form or email: typically your name, email address, phone number and what you tell us about your hotel. The form is delivered to our inbox through Cloudflare's email service. We use it solely to reply and to follow up on your enquiry, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Analytics and advertising measurement
The site loads the Google tag to measure visits with Google Analytics and learn which Google Ads bring in requests. Google may receive information about pages visited, site interactions, your device and approximate location. When you allow it, Google can set analytics and advertising cookies. When you decline — or, in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, until you choose — those cookies are denied, but Google may still receive limited, cookieless signals through Consent Mode. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the choice back.
If you arrived from one of our ads, the form also sends us the ad-click identifier from the link you followed. If you then start a trial or subscribe, we may report that identifier back to Google Ads, so we can tell which ads bring in hotels. We do not send Google your name, email address or anything else you wrote in the form.
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver it and protect it from abuse, as any web host does.
The product
When a hotel runs Boardinn, the hotel is the controller of the data its business collects — its customers, their pets, bookings and invoices — and we process that data on the hotel's behalf to provide the service. Each hotel runs as an isolated installation with its own database.
The product is built for GDPR-style obligations: per-customer data export and deletion are built-in features, and reminder emails to pet owners are consent-based. Details of processing are set out in the data processing agreement each hotel signs as part of onboarding.
Where the data lives and who helps us process it
Hotel installations run on servers we rent from Hetzner Online GmbH in Helsinki, Finland. Transactional email is sent, and encrypted backups are stored, through Scaleway SAS in Paris, France. Billing for the subscription itself is handled by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited) as merchant of record: Paddle collects the payment details and we never see card numbers — we hold only the hotel's contact details and subscription status. No pet-owner or booking data goes to Paddle.
Hotel sites use Google Maps (Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited) to show the hotel's location on its facility page and, where the hotel offers transfer or taxi services, for address autocomplete and the map pin when booking them. Google receives technical data from the visitor's browser (such as the IP address) and, for taxi bookings, the address the pet owner types. Transfers of that data to the United States are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Each hotel installation is backed up every night. Backups are encrypted before they leave the server and are kept for at most 30 days, then deleted. Backups are never edited, so after a pet owner's data is erased from a hotel's installation, older copies of it can remain in backups for up to 30 days before they expire.
We do not sell data, and we do not use hotel or pet-owner data for advertising or to train anything.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to our processing of it. Write tohello@boardinn.pet and we will respond. If you are a customer of a hotel that uses Boardinn, requests about that data go to the hotel, as its controller — we help hotels fulfil them.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy here with a new date. If a change materially affects how personal data is handled, we will say so plainly rather than bury it.
